Scott Shafer

Scott is a musician’s musician. He can join any ensemble and instantly sense what each artist is doing, what percussive technique would enhance their performance, then effortlessly & flawlessly provide it. I’ve noticed that vocalists especially like to have Scott backing them up. He takes his cue from them rather than dragging them in directions they don’t want to go or making them scream to be heard above the drummer. Only during his solos does he come on like a steam-roller – and give him a few bars of his own and he’ll get your blood stirring!
