Lou Benanto

A consummate musician, Lou has studied under music masters at such prestigious schools as the Yale University School of Music, the Berklee School of Music, and with the venerable Gary Peacock. Lou has spent many years as a music educator himself, teaching youngsters from ages 8 through 15 at The New Haven School of Music and the Shelton School of Music. Honolulu is indeed fortunate that he has chosen to live and work here. His playing style is sensitive yet bold, professional yet creative. If you have a discerning ear for the jazz bass, you’ll immediately recognize the fact that this cat is among the very best.
