Here’s an alto player you’ve just got to hear. He’s got the chops of a Charlie Parker and
the tonality & embouchre of a Paul Desmond. When it comes to be-bop, Chris rips!, and if
you’re a discerning listener – and who among us cats isn’t – you’ll be
awed by his masterful, moving, and incredibly sensitive rendering of
ballads. Chris plays regularly with the Mahealani Jazz Quartet and gigs around town with other
top-notch artists. If you get a case of
jazz-indigestion from hearing the likes of David Sandpaper (who oughta be arrested for cruelty to the alto sax), Chris Yeh is the perfect antidote.
